Seasonal/Intern Fish Lift Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Counting and recording of different species lifted.
• Help various fish agencies load fish into transfer trucks.
• Maintain and record proper conditions for ideal passage.
• Help with any public tours.
• Maintain cleanliness of counting room and equipment.
• Operate equipment necessary to lift and transport fish upstream.
• Assist with installation and operation of upstream eel ladders.
• Assist with operation of video equipment related to fish passage.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Average computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to solve practical problems and provide applicable solutions.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Experience

• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and/or electrical skills as applied to turbines, generators, compressors, pumps, motors, valves and related equipment and systems.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, (Must be 18 years old operate mechanical equipment).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently climb ladders and walkways.
• Duties require walking, standing for extended periods of time, crawling, stooping, sitting, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• The frequent use of protective equipment may be required. Work with hazardous materials may also be required.
• All candidates will participate in the post-offer drug screening.

What We Offer

• Annual Salary Range for this position is $41,600.00 based on experience and skills set
