Are you ready to advance your career in manufacturing? We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to become a valued member of our Gas Turbine Efficiency (GTE) team located in Orlando Florida. GTE designs, manufactures and supplies proprietary cleantech energy saving and performance enhancing systems to the power generation, oil & gas and aviation industries. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems according to technical drawings and specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production or shop environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete products using hand tools, power tools and tube bending/routing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Inspects work product of others to verify compliance to build instructions
  • Must be able to read and maintain fabrication documents up to date
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Clean and organize work area.
  • Inspect components for defects or deviations before and after assembly.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet company and industry standards.
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
  • Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of tools, materials, and PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report issues, defects, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors. .
  • Assist in troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Mechanical assembly and fitting skills.
  • Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Adherence to safety and quality standards.

Experience

  • 3- 5 years preferred

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs (or as required by shop standards).
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable working in a shop or production environment around machinery and moving parts.
  • Stamina for repetitive assembly tasks during full shifts.
