Are you ready to advance your career in manufacturing? We are looking for a skilled Pipe Welder to become a valued member of our Gas Turbine Efficiency (GTE) team located in Orlando Florida. GTE designs, manufactures and supplies proprietary cleantech energy saving and performance enhancing systems to the power generation, oil & gas and aviation industries. The Pipe Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding piping systems in accordance with engineering drawings, codes (ASME & PED), and safety standards. This role requires proficiency in welding processes, attention to detail, and adherence to project specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs for pipe assemblies.
  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • Fit, align, and tack pipe sections before final welding.
  • Measure and fit pipe accurately
  • Inspect welds for quality and compliance with AWS, ASME, and company standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
  • Document welding activities for quality control and record-keeping purposes.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Certify to ASME & PED. Precision welding and fitting in a controlled environment.
  • Blueprint and isometric reading.
  • Use of fabrication tools, saws, grinders, and measuring instruments.
  • Teamwork and communication within a production team.
  • Adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Problem-solving in welding and assembly processes.

Experience

  • 3- 5 Years preferred

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a welding program or trade school is preferred.
  • Certification from recognized welding organizations (e.g., AWS, ASME, PED)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise welding and fitting.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmets, and welding shields for extended periods.
  • Stamina for repetitive welding, grinding, and assembly tasks during full shifts.
  • Adequate vision (with or without correction) to inspect welds and read technical drawings.
