EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Component Engineer for our Aerospace and Defense, Accessories and Components repair and overhaul facility in Duncan, SC. Job Responsibilities

  • Apply your engineering expertise across a broad range of products and business units.
  • Understand and support production processes at multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to complete engineering tasks and develop solutions.
  • Identify technical problems, propose and implement improvements, and help develop new methods and processes.
  • Plan and schedule project tasks, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met or proactively communicating when adjustments are needed.
  • Participate actively in site projects, sharing knowledge and influencing peers on technical issues.
  • Gather and analyze information to determine the best approaches and solutions for project challenges.
  • Contribute to design work as part of larger projects and cross-train with other groups to broaden your expertise.
  • Take on increased responsibility for project subtasks or small projects, with mentorship to develop your business acumen.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to project teams, customers, and management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Support customer activities alongside senior engineers, contributing when your project scope is in focus.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of company policies, repair station processes, and shop equipment.
  • Familiarity with special processes: TIG welding, plasma spraying, heat-treating, brazing, machining, electrical harness and heavy industrial repairs on gas turbine engines.
  • Basic understanding of super alloy metallurgy and jet engine fundamentals; able to read turbine engine blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of overhaul manuals, aerospace manufacturing, and NDE processes.
  • Proficient with MS Office, SolidWorks, CAD systems, and internet navigation.
  • Skilled in operating computers and office equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, data entry, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written English); able to generate clear procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work with confidential information and follow instructions accurately.
  • Meets FAA requirements for English proficiency.

Experience

  • Chartered Engineer
  • Professional Engineer

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or
  • Technical Degree (US) or
  • QBE (Qualified by Experience)

Physical Requirements

  • US Citizenship required as per FAA regulations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to look at computer monitor for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to type for long periods of time
