Supporting Shanahan Engineering, this position exists to develop and maintain positive customer relationships in the global power generation sector, identify opportunities for the company to materially impact the life cycle value for our customers, develop proposals to clearly articulate those benefits and negotiate and close contracts consistent with the customer’s value proposition and our internal shareholder’s financial expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure sales targets are achieved and surpassed and provide support to ongoing operations within the business. This will be driven through both sales growth with existing clients and also through the growth of sales with specific new target customers.
- Develop and implement the customer focused Sales Strategy and Sales Plans for products of Construction Services, Field Servicing, Commissioning Services and Consultancy Services within the Power Generation industry.
- Prepare project handovers to OTR for execution with high rates of first pass acceptance
- Develop strategies for existing and new markets to support and ensure growth in line with business strategy
- Management of Salesforce to track all contacts, account, leads, opportunities and other sales activities.
- Maintain and develop good client relationship, regular on-site meetings and regular networking across the industry sectors Principal Working Relationships:
- Reports directly to company VP
- Direct working relationship with Sales, Proposal Development, Recruitment, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Commercial Teams and Senior Leadership teams.
- External customers within the power market segments aligned with our services

Experience
- Previous B2B Sales experience within the power generation construction, commissioning and EPC sector
- Prior successful experience in domestic and international account operational management
- Comfortable presenting to management, customers, partners and other external stakeholders
Education Requirements
- Bachelors in Sales/ Technical with experience related to the Power Generation Sector
Physical Requirements
- Willing to travel to project sites domestically and internationally as required for specific projects. This position can be based from the UK, Ireland or within wider Europe. #LI-Remote
