As a Technician, you will carry ultimate accountability for the assigned section. Working alongside the Senior Welder and Senior Machinist, the collective goal is to enhance efficiency while maintaining quality and cost standards. Tasks encompass overseeing team leave, coordinating weekend overtime through the Workshop Coordinator, and guaranteeing access to essential tools and equipment. Effective utilization of the iFlight system is crucial for requisitioning parts and materials, enabling timely issuance by Stores or ordering by Production

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilization of iFlight/Intranet to request Material Requisitions against jobs for missing items
  • Provide Clarification with scope of works to respective teams and identify required/missing spares, parts and tooling working with Production Engineer to raise PR Requests if not available from Material Requisition System
  • Issuance of Route Sheets to their team and monitoring of their process through the section
  • Insurance of Route Sheet Sign Off after completion of operations
  • Identify and log all fault equipment on Maintenance Log System
  • Organize and hold daily Tool Box Talks
  • Manage Teams Leave, both holiday and sick and provide assistance to HR Manager where required
  • Annual Skills Matrix Reviews working with Production Engineer/Manager
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Must have ability to handle technical data from multiple sources.
  • Good knowledge and experience of planning and logistic methodologies.
  • Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook).
  • Product knowledge e.g. API Manufacture and repair, Roteq, Oil & Gas and general industrial equipment repair

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role

Education Requirements

  • Minimum requires Diploma in Engineering, Degree in Engineering preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • To comply with Company and client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents / incidents/near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts onus for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene
