What’s this role about?
We are seeking a control system engineer interested in supporting our automated combustion tuning product, ECOMAX®. You will increase our revenue through technical product support to the sales team and directly performing installation and commissioning. You will work closely with some of our most experienced individuals to build your knowledge of ECOMAX® and help us further develop this product line.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers
  • Reviews proposal request information (RFQs, bid docs, DOR, etc.) and provides clarifications and exceptions.
  • Perform site surveys when necessary to understand specific customer requirements. Engineering
  • Design site-specific configuration of ECOMAX® including communications and documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining standard software and documentation.
  • Work as part of a technical team to develop and implement ECOMAX® improvements and modifications.
  • Develop and provide site-specific customer training. Field Services
  • Perform manual combustion tuning services to support our business
  • Supervise installation of ECOMAX® at site including CDMS and communication networks.
  • Commission ECOMAX® system and generate trip reports.
  • Domestic and international travel required (50% annually)

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Required Skills:
  • Understand and perform manual combustion tuning on GE Frame gas turbines (DLN1.0 through DLN2.6+).
  • Installation of combustion dynamics monitoring systems and data analysis.
  • Programming knowledge on GE Mark V, Mark VI, and Mark VIe control systems.
  • Knowledge with HMI programming applications including Factory Talk and Cimplicity
  • Able to implement and troubleshoot industrial communications networks such as Modbus and EGD.
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal oversight. Desired Skills:
  • Proficient in National Instruments LabVIEW.
  • Familiarity with OSIsoft’s Pi System Platform, computer virtualization infrastructure, server management, and SQL management

Experience

  • 5 or more years experience with gas turbine control technology and combustion tuning of DLN control systems.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent technical experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, climb stairs, walk normal distances.
  • Ability to travel to visit customer plants and EthosEnergy facilities.
