EthosEnergy is seeking a motivated, results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead their Middle East region. Based within the Middle East region - Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading and managing the sales within the region. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and the ability to analyse market trends to drive revenue and growth. The Regional Sales Director will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Operations leader to align regional sales strategies with the overall business objectives. The Regional Sales Director will be highly motivated and results driven to lead the Middle East and North Africa region focusing on growth. Based in Dubai or alternatively Abu Dhabi, the successful candidate will develop an intimate understanding of their regions, markets, and customers. They will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to coach their team to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a sales strategy based on an intimate knowledge of their region, developing and driving execution of their team against targeted sales plans, and managing all sales activities to deliver orders growth and new customer generation in the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • 1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the region to achieve sales targets and market penetration goals.
  • Analyse regional market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Set sales targets for the team and monitor progress against these goals.
  • Be able to analyse and construct annual sales plans in line with company expectations.
  • Through market data population and trend analysis, identify threats and opportunities for their region. 2. Team Management and Leadership:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales account managers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and performance manage the sales team members accordingly.
  • Provide direct support for the sales team as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Work directly with Sales Account Managers to develop “Strategy to Win.”
  • Provide leadership to ensure all decisions to bid on a deal or generate a proposal are based on Strategy to Win.
  • Manage Commercial Intermediary (agents) in their regions for productivity, sales planning, and ethics compliance. 3. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders within the region.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them 4. Sales Order Intake and Profitability Management:
  • Monitor and manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring profitability.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet revenue and profit goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact sales performance. 5. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior leadership, outlining progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and sales strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Monitor the performance of sales in the region, all accounts, and across all sales channels and pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
  • Ensure CRM data is kept up to date to ensure accurate forecasting and good data integrity
  • Provide all required reports on time and communicate variances to plan to superiors in a timely manner.
  • Deliver a monthly sales forecast, fully vetted, to functional leadership and finance, complete with known risks and opportunities. 6. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for regional growth.
  • Work with Senior Leadership, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering to facilitate sales training programs for Sales Account Managers
  • Work with marketing to develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture target markets and customer

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • English Speaker
  • Arabic Speaker advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Extensive people management and team leadership skills.
  • High level of business and commercial acumen with an understanding of business value drivers.
  • Proven ability to influence and impact at all employee levels but particularly at senior leadership level.
  • Strong networking skills externally and internally - the ability to cultivate and build strong relationships with counterparts.

Experience

  • Proven track record at a senior level in Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Compressors, Generator Repair, Overhaul and Services, Sales Management
  • Extensive B2B sales experience
  • Proven knowledge of Oil Field Business is a plus

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Able to travel extensively
