EthosEnergy seeks an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer for employment in our Duncan, SC facility. Qualified applicants must be a team player and have the ability to be flexible with scheduling. Candidates must be a resident of the USA to be qualified for this FAA regulated position.
Salary for this role is contingent upon experience and education.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply engineering skills and knowledge over broad product range
- Understand production processes used across multiple businesses
- Interact with suppliers and customers to complete engineering tasks
- Identify and define technical problems and propose solutions
- Schedule tasks for projects and coordinate delivery times
- Actively participate as a team member for site projects
- Troubleshoot daily technical issues for peers and customers
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Strong computer software knowledge (MS Office/Solidworks/CAD Systems/ internet websites navigation)
- Familiarity with repair station and shop equipment processes
- Knowledge of shop processes such as TIG welding, plasma spraying, conventional/vacuum heat-treating, brazing, machining, electrical harness repairs & heavy industrial repairs on gas turbine engines
- Basic understanding of super alloy metallurgy
- Experience reading overhaul manuals
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and NDE processes
- Understanding of jet engine fundamentals and the ability to comprehend turbine engine component blueprints
- Good people skills - daily interaction with customers and OEM's
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Able to generate procedures and instructions that are easy to follow
- Organize workload to meet deadlines
- Perform mathematical calculations related to job function
Experience
- Chartered Engineer
- Professional Engineer
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or
- Technical Degree (US) or
- QBE (Qualified by Experience)
Physical Requirements
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to look at computer monitor for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to type for long periods of time
