To set up VTL and machine to finished dimensions with tolerances <.0005” with a wide variety of parts, with limited supervision, which includes, but is not limited to precision parts, split cases, spherical parts, and multiple segmented parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate Machinery and Equipment following all safety requirements.
- Able to Operate Machinery independently making necessary tooling changes and off-sets to the program.
- Perform required Self Inspection of parts as they are produced.
- Record the required inspection data on Self-Inspection Reports. (SIR’s)
- Maintain production levels as to meet Standards.
- Crane Operation Skills for material handling or machine fixture movement.
- Follow Job Travelers, Procedures, Drawings and Work Instructions to perform Technical requirements for product manufactured.
- Handle material safely and in accordance with safety requirements.
- Maintain House Keeping requirements for the Work Station assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Must be able to interpret Blue Prints, Process Documentation and mathematically determine machine Off-sets.
- Ability to read all measuring and gauging instruments, work instructions.
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity
Experience
- Minimum 3yrs of Manual or CNC VTL machine operation experience or Trade School Diploma with machining experience.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs. #ZR
