Responsible for providing Engineering support to all Departments within EthosEnergy Generator Service
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement new repair standards.
- Recommend, qualify and implement new repair procedures.
- Review and evaluate customer repair scopes to determine feasibility of repairs.
- Work with Quality Department to audit engineering and repairs processes for compliance to procedures to identify gaps and corrective actions necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction activities on a daily basis with formal lean tools and methods. Formal lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred
- Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.
- Direct, review, or approve project design changes.
- Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to clients.
- Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
- Prepare budgets, bids, or contracts.
- Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.
- Review, recommend, or approve contracts or cost estimates.
- Develop or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
- Establish scientific or technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
- Develop or implement programs to improve sustainability or reduce the environmental impacts of engineering activities or operations.
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Ability to align personal behaviour with company core values.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all organizational levels.
- Ability to maintain a team-based organizational structure.
- Approximately 10% travel possible.
- Casual overtime expected on weekends.
- Knowledge of Solid works design software
- Familiar with performing FEA’s on rotating components
Experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, from shop floor to executive management.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in an engineering role working with generator equipment repairs preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office environment. Ability to work in a shop Environment. Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
