• The Project Manager’s role is to plan and schedule numerous projects and turbine engine assemblies through a manufacturing workshop.
• The Project Manager plays a proactive role in problem identification, recommendation, and resolution and proactively assists the project team with solving issues that can affect project performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to Business Development for project estimates and execution planning
- Project management of multiple complex project teams for commercial, outsourcing, and operational excellence
- Manage Project Controls assigned-resources for schedule and cost compliance
- Develop, manage and maintain up-to-date MS Project Timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques
- Collect value add and touch time data, manages the Key Performance Indicators
- Support lean initiatives as identified by the Business Unit
- Support cross functional project with internal and external functions
- Monitors project execution and adjusts plans
- Prepare project plans/schedules, reports and budgets
- Responsible for internal distribution of all project-related documentation for review and revision
- Conduct periodic project budget reviews, manage project cost and provide reports detailing cash flow, cost forecast to completion and budget variances
- Special projects as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
- PMP Certification a plus
- Project Controls (cost and schedule experience)
- Sound knowledge of business management principles, practices and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Work with Supply Chain to establish the appropriate delivery schedules for individual components, specifying quantity and frequency targeting Just-in-Time delivery
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports, is required
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand is required
Experience
- 2+ years Project Management experience
- 2+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience or understanding of gas turbines preferred
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office environment and a workshop environment
